QRER is a non-profit cooperative dedicated to the development of low-density territories. It promotes and participates in various regional, national and international projects in the areas of culture and creativity, creative tourism, support for young entrepreneurship, territorial animation and support for local economic activities, among others. It is the first Portuguese organisation to be associated with an ethical financing institution in Spain (Coop57).
Started in 2013, this is an annual non-profit event that aims to promote the practice of hiking in the interior of the Algarve, in the beautiful village of Ameixial, to publicise its natural and cultural values. It's an initiative that involves the local community in the activities themselves and seeks to bring a direct return to the village's economy and the preservation of its heritage.
